At Laetts, innovation isnât just a marketing phraseâitâs the foundation of everything we do. From the start, we set out to design socks that solve real problems in cold environments: warmth without bulk, and boots that go on effortlessly even when fingers are cold and stiff.
Now, weâre proud to share a major milestone in that journey:
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued allowable claims covering our core technologiesâHygroHeat⢠and BootGlideâ˘.
That means our signature warmth system and our low-friction boot entry design are now officially patent-pending innovations.
đĽ What This Means
- HygroHeat⢠is our thermal yarn system that blends high-quality Merino wool with far-infrared (FIR) ceramic-infused fibers. This allows the sock to reflect body heat back into the foot while remaining lightweight, dry, and odor-resistant.
- BootGlide⢠is our advanced structural feature designed to reduce friction during boot entry. It creates a smoother instep transition, making it easier to slide into tight ski or snowboard boots without tugging or twisting.
These arenât just proprietary designs anymoreâtheyâre now protected under U.S. patent law, with formal recognition of their novelty and utility.
đŚ What Youâll See Next
This summer, youâll start noticing:
- âPatent-pendingâ language added to packaging and product descriptions
- Updates to our website, blogs, and brochures
- Revised product tags that call out Laetts innovation, now officially protected
As we prepare for the upcoming winter season, this recognition fuels our mission: to make technically advanced socks that truly support the adventureâwhether youâre skiing, snowboarding, hiking, fishing, or riding.
âł What's Ahead
We expect the full patent to issue later this year. When it does, weâll proudly mark select products with the patent number and share the story behind how Laetts came to redefine warmth and ease for performance socks.
Until then, we move forward with confidenceâbacked by the science, the craft, and now the law.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Stay tuned for more updates as the season approaches.
